There’s so much I could write about how street photography has shaped me as a person, both as a passive and active observer, but I’ll spare you the details. Street photography is both my comfort and discomfort zone. Some of these images were taken more than 10 years ago, when I just happened to have a camera with me at all times. Having lost most of my portfolio from that era in a terrible (to me) hard-drive accident, I was forced to reinvent, re-think and re-create my style (as well as my backup strategy). Behind a lot of these photos, there’s a story of an introvert trying to both be in people’s space and yet also keep a distance. Some of these locations include Montreal, San Francisco, New York, Kyoto, Kanawaza, Takayama, Lisbon, Porto, The Hague, London, Berlin.
